Corry Wouters, Program Manager Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport was named one of the most innovative leaders in the Netherlands at the Innovation Awards ceremony during the Innovation Summit & Dinnershow 2025 by IT Executive

Corry Wouters, Program Manager at the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport, and Kurt De Ruwe, CIO of AkzoNobel, are both winners of the CIO Magazine Innovation Award in the category of Most Innovative Leader. Both the jury and the audience felt they equally deserved the title, resulting in an unexpected two awards being presented. Avular won in the category of Most Successful Start-up, Scale-up, or Challenger. Rijkswaterstaat and FrieslandCampina won awards in the category of Most Innovative Ecosystem.

Corry Wouters impressed with her inspiring EVAA approach, which is the cornerstone of her innovative leadership," said jury chairman Eric Wesselman (KPMG). "She guides her employees in the areas of Ownership, Responsibility, Attention, and Completion. With this approach, she has initiated significant innovations in various healthcare institutions." After a long career in the IT sector, Wouters found her current role at the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport through organizations like VieCuri, where all her qualities come together.
